Apple Users: Which HD Camcorder connects best with an Apple computer?

I had a hdd camcorder by sony right now, which works perfect on my p.c., but not on the apple. Im wondering which newer High Definition camcorder works well with the apple computers? Is one company more supportive of macs than another? Canon, sony, panasonic? Thanks,.

1. A HD MiniDv camcorder will do. If your Mac can handle iMovie 08, you should think of upgrading to it as it supports some HDD camcorders. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306171
