I have SONY HDR-SR1 AVCHD 4MP 30GB HD Camcorder. Can you tell me how I can make DVD for ordinary dvd player?

I really loke this machine - HDR-SR1 AVCHD 4MP 30GB High-Definition Hard Disk Drive Camcorder. But I have not been able to figure out how to make a DVD from this HD camcorder that would play in just about any ordinary DVD player. The product came with a software that converts its images to Windows Media Player compatible format, but it doens't convert it to a format compatible with ordinary DVD players. Thank you.

1. Try using the pinnacle video editing software. Its very basic and easy to use and it should be able to make a dvd of your HD footage. The DVD wont be HD however. This software also supports using the footage from your camcorder (AVCHD format). Overall its a not bad editing program that can burn dvds. Also did your camera come with one touch DVD software for making DVD's without editing footage?
