Is an HD Cameracorder simple enough to quickly edit clips and post on YouTube?

I am planning to buy a Sony HDR-SR11. It is a 60GB Hard Drive High-Definition Camcorder. Will that be simple enough to quickly edit clips and post full videos on YouTube or should I buy a simpler non-HD camera instead?

1. Yes, all you would need to do is record the video you want to record then plug your camera into your computer using a FireWire cable. If you wanted to edit the video before posting it on YouTube then you can capture the video into a movie editing software. If not, then all you would have to do is capture the video strait from your camera to YouTube.
