  1. Although your TV is "HDTV ready" you still need a high definition converter to convert the signal, and the channel itself has to be broadcast in high definition (most aren't yet). Even DVD's do not offer true high definition... but the newer formats like Blueray and HDVD do.
  2. Did you subscribe to HDTV with your cable or satellite provider? You have to have a box hooked up to your TV to get the HD signal.
  3. Where did you bought your HDTV? Have you seen the High Defination relays demonstration.Have you purchased the service for High defination services. If not than you cannot. No matter what TV you have it.until you subscribe the services from Satelite service provider or your Cable provider.Hey Check with Verizon and AT&T they have some new features via phone lines.
  4. Are you with a cable company? If so: Did they give you a High definition cable box? Are you paying the extra HD viewing fee? Are you going to the HD channels designated by your cable company. I am with Time Warner Cable and all these are required.
