Are husbands portrayed as stupid in TV commercials?

I think the husband in most TV commercials is portrayed as a doofus, nincompoop, unaware, and down right stupid. Am I off base here or have you noticed the same? I do not think it is a conspiracy by feminists or anyone else. I think most family purchase decisions are made by the wife. Many wives think their husbands are unaware, so advertisers appeal to women by portraying husbands as stupid. What do you think?

1. I hadn't noticed that, but now that you bring it up, it is right. Moms are always the smart ones. On tv commercials, most men are either stupid, or have ED.
