How to take the child lock off a Hitachi tv model c21-rf80s without the remote, it is stuck on av1?

The tv is stuck on the AV1 position and I am not able to use the TV mode button on the tv to change it back to tv. A message pops up saying child lock and no other button works. I tried cutting off the tv and unplugging it, I also tried to push a couple of buttons in hopes that it was some type of reset programmed on the tv. If you have any suggestions on how to remove the child lock from the tv please email.

1. im not sure that you'll be able to. you may have to get a universal remote to change it, unless you can access the tv's menu by pushing a button on the tv. You can also go to hitachi.com and search for your tv's manual there and if it can be done it will tell you. I looked with the info you provided but didnt find that model so be sure you have the right info when you look it up. GL

3. Call 1-800-HITACHI They might be able to help. Have your model, and serial number ready. They might be able to walk you through the process needed to reset the child lock code. When you finish getting that done if you must set a code, make it 0000, or 1234...... easy to remember.
