We are at war and Imus is the only story on TV news? Wake up America?

If you didn't know this was a racist country before Imus called girls "nappy ho's" then you were in a coma. The minorities know it's a racist society, they don't need an apology. It's not "overtly" racist like the 1950's but it's been rooted in racism forever. Do most people worry about Native American's, no. They will bring up Casino's as the gripe. Do they worry about the abuse of undocumented workers? No. They worry about the field workers job that the "illegal" has taken from the "real" American. Do they worry about African American's, no. They complain about gangster rap and drug dealing. (Like that has a race) Imus is only reflecting they same old thought process that is ingrained in society. All of a sudden the phrase "nappy ho's" is the issue, but the real racisms is the silent one that only is spoken in the company of like minded racists. It is not something you can regulate. Its a persons right to be a racist if they choose to. But lets not be so shocked at the reality. This isn't all people, but it is a great percentage of society.

2. I agree it is unfortunate for these young girls but it was a wake up call that was needed so they will know and not be dis-allusion into thinking that racism doesn't exist in 2007
3. I have a theory that this guy has just pissed off the wrong ppl for too long a time and they have been looking for a reason to nail his butt... this was the perfect opportunity. Yes, he made a racist comment, but what about Howard Stern and others who have made similar comments and get away with it time and again? I am so sick of hearing about this story... We all should be focusing on something a bit more important. If nothing else, at least this silly story has taken some of the limelight off of the Anna Nicole crap.
