Is this reality TV gone too far?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6699847.stm If the woman intended to donate her kidneys she could have done it without this. The TV show itself won't help to save anybody's life.

  1. 'De Grote Donor Show'. I am Dutch and i can tell you that i was appalled and shocked at what my nation is doing. I didn't expect them to pull something like this off JUST to get ratings. It's sad and i don't like the way it was done. It should get scraped. I thought things like Big Brother was going to far but this is definitely over the edge. I also remember watching the Dutch Big Brother where a pregnant lady was smoking and gave birth there too. It's ridiculous. All that for ratings.
  2. You didn't have to put any proof up. We don't need artificial heroes with no talents. Please, stop the madness. If the reality shows don't go, stop watching TV.
  3. I thought it went too far sometimes with Fear Factor. The show that is the subject of the article you posted takes the cake, and in my opinion has gone too far.
  4. Never did like Reality TV.....Goes to prove how far people are willing to go to make a buck.
  5. if it can help to save a persons life then why not? if you don't like it then don't watch it.
  6. yes, i think that is all the craze now, reality tv for everything, those. it is weird, it is like , you dont have a interesting enough life soooo, you watch outers to feel the drama... umm why?
  7. I can truthfully say that I have never watched a reality TV show but it strikes me that its participants can't represent a realistic cross-section of the public since they are all extroverts. I suppose it is only a matter of time before a suicide or homicide takes place on screen which will put an end to the whole sorry ritual.
  8. no because the TV cant walk :) ----- HeeeeeeeeHeeeeeeHeeeeee ----- :)
  9. LMAO...people really are running low on good ideas for reality shows! terrible
  10. HA! I'm in the US and I thought shit was bad here. Well my theory is yes it has gone too far but if people are dumb enough to do it then that's their own fault. If people would stop doing literally anything to get on TV all this crap would come to an end.
