Why does the TV Guide Channel barely show tv listings?

Why does most of the the TV guide channel have TV playing instead of listings? Only 3 inches of the TV guide channel is dedicated to showing you what is on tv. If I wanted to watch tv I would be watching another channel.

1. Probably because they have to pay to air the channel and so they have to advertise. But I agree it is very annoying I always start watching the shows and miss what channels I wanted to see
