What software can i use with my Sony HDR-SR12E camcorder to edit high definition footage?

Ive just bought a High Definition Sony HDR-SR12E Camcorder, and wish to edit high definition footage on a computer i.e title and background music. I have received software with the camcorder to connect to my computer, but does not edit high definition footage for titles and background music. What soft wares for windows are available on the market? I have owned previous camcorders and used Magix Movies & Ulead Video Studio for editing. The format for my new sony camcorder is AVCHD. 2. I recommend you Sony Vegas Pro 8. It's a really great editing software with a wide range of supported media formats. I have an HD camcorder which records AVCHD too and editing those files with Sony Vegas 8.0c (that's important, b+c support AVCHD, a doesn't!!) works smooth and very fine. Rendering it as full-hd mts files works fine as well. I also shoot with the pmw-ex1 and editing its mxf-files works too! With Sony Vegas Pro 8.0c you have the opportunity to import, edit and render almost every format currently available!
