How do I capture high definition footage with my specs?

I'm trying to capture high definition video from my Sony HDR-FX1 through a Blackmagic Intensity Pro via component video. And I'm not getting any image on the capture screen in Adobe Premiere... Any ideas?

1. Don't know why the BlackMagic isn't working - but most folks I know use firewire to import HDV from miniDV tape based camcorders. I use firewire to import HDV from my HDR-FX1 (and HDR-HC1) pretty regularly...
