PlayStation 2 on a 42 inch High Definition TeleVision?

Sooo how would that look? i have a 42 inch widescreen HDTV and im thinking of getting a ps2 cause i really feel like playing some of the games it has :p so ya would it by any chance look good? also, how much does it cost now? should i get a modded one from pacific mall? Maybe i should use a ps2 on my computer monitor?

1. Lol get a ps3, the ps2 graphics would look the same, ps3's are the next-generation consoles with hdmi support. Ps3 is the way to go.
2. Ya that would look good because I have a ps2 on a WAY tiny tv and it still plays like on a HUGE TV. It all plays the same
3. It''ll work just fine, but it may look a bit blocky. Remember, the PS2 only plays games in standard definition, so the TV will attempt to upscale the signal to its native resolution. It'll be similar to when you watch a non-HD channel on your TV.
4. PS2 games don't look that much better on a HD TV because PS2 games are not HD capable. Playing a PS2 games on a HD TV is like playing a Wii game on a HD TV. You only get 480p, which is only slightly better than 480i.
5. Wrong! PS2 looks awesome on a HDTV. Gran Turismo 4,is by far the best. It displays up to 1080i on a HDTV! Almost full HD. Plus you have all these cool stuff,like you can put in a external HDD(up to 500GB)into your PS2s USB slots and take pictures of your cars in Gran Turismo 4,and save it to your HDD,or pendrive,Ipod,MP4 even PC. Plus,you have all these great games.
