How do I get a tv guide feature if I only have basic cable?

I only have basic cable (no box), and I was tired of surfing channels and/or using tvguide.com. I was hoping I could purchase some sort of box/tivo/attachment that was cheap and would allow me to view what show is on what channel from the television itself. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just affordable and workable.

1. You should be able to go to your cable providers web site and see it there and also find out what channel they show it on.
