  1. Sony hdr-sr12 is good.
  2. That is a good camcorder but focus in low light conditions is poor http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00123Q904?ie=UTF8&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00123Q904 For that price range try Canon VIXIA HG20 AVCHD 60 GB HDD Camcorder with 12x Optical Zoom 24Mbps offers the highest bit rate in AVCHD for High Definition video - enabling improved color reproduction and tonality Record up to 22 hours of High Definition video to a 60 GB Hard Disk Drive Comes with a 3.3 megapixel full HD CMOS sensor (1920 x 1080) and a DIGIC DV II image processor Features Canon's SuperRange optical image stabilizer http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DTTCQA?ie=UTF8&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001DTTCQA
  3. Consider HDR SR11(60 GB HDD), costs more but not as much as the HDR SR12 (120GB HDD). Takes great videos (5MP) and great still pics (10.2MP) which yo can either store on the hard disc or memory card.
  4. I have a Sony HDR-SR11, it's a great camcorder, the only thing you sacrifice in the SR10 is a microphone jack, 20gb of space, and instead on a 10.2 megapixel camera you get like a 5mp one. Depends on what your using it for really, the SR10s have the same video as the SR11s, if you need a camera as well get the SR11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP0TVCD2OpQ&feature=channel_page <Thats a video I did with the SR11, not the best example because it's YouTube, but watch in HD and you can see somewhat of it's power (it's distorted though)
