What televisions include a noise filter for tv commercials?

Samsung and Panasonic used to offer this feature on their older televisons but I can not find any newer LCD televisions with this feature. What it does is reduce the volume level when those blasted commercials come on that blast you out of your seat. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

  1. LG does we have one
  2. I don't know of any TV manufacturers still working on/offering this. But Dolby came out with something called "Dolby Volume" not to long ago. It was designed to help level your audio across all devices/programs. Here's a write up on it on their site, http://www.dolby.com/consumer/technology/dolby-volume-works.html . If you look at the links on the left, it also mentions its availability in Harmon-Kardon products and their own receiver with it included. I think with more and more people moving towards receivers and home theatre setups, there is less demand on TV manufacturers to deliver higher end features on their internal speakers.
  3. my 46' magnavox has a setting that keeps the volume level consistent all the time however at times it makes it very quiet during shows but it works.
  4. Samsung still offers this feature. It is called Autovolume and it on all of their televisions.
