Commercials on tv. How to get your ideas on tv?
I had some great ideas for tv commercials. How do you go about getting those companies to listen to your ideas? If its something on paper and you go in to talk, does it make it your idea? Do you have to have it TM or anything like that? Any help on the topic would be great. Thanks!!!!!

- You have to go to an advertiser and win the account first. You would sign a contract that would stipulate how much you get paid, what your responsibilities are and who owns any advertising you create. That is not going to happen. So, nobody want to hear your ideas. Believing that you have some great idea, while having no idea about what an advertiser is trying to do or how advertising works shows that your idea is not likely to be good. But no one wants to even listen because it might be close enough to something they are already thinking about that you would try to sue the advertiser should they do something you perceive is like your idea. The advertiser and the agency have nothing to gain by hearing from you, and they have a risk. So they won't listen to you. If you want to create advertising, go apply at agencies. (Though jobs are not available right now, so many people have been laid off.)
