Sony HVR-HD1000U Digital High Definition HDV Camcorder?

Im about to buy this camera, and for what Ive read, its really good, but I have one question. How do you transfer the videos I shoot with it, to my computer? It uses mini DV cassettes. Is there any special cable to transfer the video, or is there a universal method to do this? Any help with this will be appreciated.

1. yes that is an excellent camera. the footage is captured to the computer by firewire cable. im pretty sure it comes with the camera.
