Is there a difference between high definition and enhanced definition?

I've seen TV's that say they're hi def, but mine says it's enhanced def. Is there a difference? Reason I ask is because I want to get a ps3, but I want to get the cables needed for high definition, and I'm wondering if the ports on high def tv's and enhanced def tv's are different.

3. Yes..It is a little better than standard TV, but not as good as HDTV.. Maybe like 480p max...
