how do you rewind and pause on australian High Definition televisions?

well i live in perth n i have a hd television and i was wondering how you pause n rewind on like you no 7, nine, 10ten, sbs and abc them normal tv channels thanks

1. You have to a DVR/PVR type of device. That will record the show, either temporarily (buffered) or permanently (though still removable) on to an internal hard drive. Then you are able to use the remote for that device to pause, rewind, and fast forward television programming.
