Why is the TV guide network so obsessed with Michael Jackson?
This is a bit of a rant lol but I like the channel so I can know what's on and leave it on sometimes but I don't like how nearly every other hour the TV Guide network is running some Michael Jackson blab. It's almost like they have a Michael Jackson tribute cult going on. It seems like with poverty and war going on Michael Jackson tribute shouldn't be such a focus.

- To a large extent they broadcast what their research shows their audience want to watch. Disturbing, isn't it?
- Because that guy was amazing singer and dancer
- lol, have you seen Flex Alexander as Michael Jackson lmmfao.
- I see that too, especially in MTV. I think they understood his importance after he died.
- They are probably short of programms to fill those long spaces, and want to ride his popularity bandwagon while they can. After all, he only dies once - they can`t cash in on his death again! They have to make the most of it.
- I don't watch that channel. But I do flip past it with my GUIDE function and it seems that The Michael Jackson Story is playing on it all the time. Just one more reason not to watch the channel I guess... Moving on>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
- Michael Jackson was an interesting person. Even in death, he's still interesting to a lot of people (who study his life) and he's still a big money-maker for the mass media. Few want to always hear about the dark and depressing thing in life such as war and poverty. Why would an entertainment venue focus on that? As I said, Michael Jackson was an INTERESTING person and unique and interesting people such as him, always capture the interest and imagination of others, even sometimes long after they're dead.
