How do you make your tv tuner in your computer pick the regular local channels if you don't have cable?

I can watch some local channels on my tv by using a digital antenna. My HP computer came with an antenna thing, but it isn't picking up any of those local channels, it says the signal isn't strong enough. Is there any way I can get those local channels on my computer?
