Is there any way to make my image high definition?

I want to make a wallpaper for my desktop, but it doesn't look right because the pixels looks a bit to big. Is there any way i can make it high definition or increase the number of pixels?

  1. Try going on www.picnik.com - an editing site or download coral paint shop pro, this is a good Program for editing pictures, resizing and adding effects, text and images too. hope this helps.
  2. Just use Gimp which is a free software. OPen your imag ein there and resample it to a higher resolution like 300 dpi. Then save as a bitmap or jpeg. That should give it a nice definition. Or resample at 600 dpi for higher definition.
  3. You can make your images high resolution. Use the highest resolution your camera supports. The number of pixels on the cameras sensor is fixed at manufacture, nothing you can do about that. Since you neglected to tell us either the brand or model, there is nothing else we can tell you. Re-shoot the scenes you want as wallpaper at high resolution. There is nothing you can do about low resolution files. Increasing the size of such a file, might be possible using a program like Genuine Fractals, but you will see, that can get very expensive, just under $150. http://www.ononesoftware.com/detail.php?prodLine_id=7
  4. There's is no way but to get a bigger and better source. If the source is in low resolution then you increase the size the picture will always be pixelated not unless the picture is a "Vector".
  5. HD is not the problem. Image format is. You camera takes pictures with an aspect ratio (basically, the difference between the width and height) of 4:3 or 3:2, unless you can set it to 16:9. 16:9 is not a good ratio for photography, unless you are shooting wide landscapes. Your monitor has an aspect ratio of 16:9 or 16:10, which is not the same as the camera aspect ratio. The display is forced to fit the shot into the aspect ratio of the monitor, and that causes distortion. It probably means that your monitor is set up incorrectly too. Your monitor should be set at a wide resolution, like 1366x768 or higher, instead of the default 800x600 that it probably came out of the box. That will fix the problem.
