How do you hook up pc to tv with only component and hdmi inputs on the tv?
I bought a vga to component cable from amazon to hook up my pc to my tv and of course that didn't work and my tv said "no signal." I have a 1080 P HDTV. How the heck can I hook up my pc to my tv with only component and hdmi inputs on my tv? Please, please, please help if you know exactly how to get this to work. Recommend specific brands of components or converters if necessary.

- It is strange that your tv doesn't have vga input which brand of tv is it. And as you are using a pc not a laptop as most new models come with hdmi out, hdmi video cards are quiet expensive but you can buy a vga to hdmi converter which you would connect a vga male to male cable betwen your pc and the converter then a hdmi cable from converter to tv if you also want sound you can use a 3.5 mm jack to rca and plug it into the soundcard of your pc the to the red and white ports on the converter and then you will have sound aswell.
