Why my LG HDTV will not download TV guide info?

My LG model #42LB1DRA will not download the tv guide information. It makes it almost impossible to use the built-in digital recorder feature. LG website looks very vague to my problem. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this problem too? Mainly has has most of it's problems after the hd signal conversion.

1. That's because the TV Guide has been discontinued since it was for ANALOG TV signals, not digital TV signals. you have to use a Cable box or Satellite box's guide nowadays...
