Well ya'll Auburn has replaced Ole Miss for Reality TV show. Do you agree this was a smart choice?

Apparently, Houston Nutt has come to his senses about the reality TV show that would have covered every move of the Ole Miss Rebels this season. Instead, Ole Miss pulled out of the venture and Auburn will step in. Veteran Southeastern Conference writer Ray Melick, blogging for the Birmingham News, has a report on it, as well as an excellent theory on why Ole Miss decided not to do it: "Every Day" w as originally supposed to follow the Ole Miss football team. But as it got closer to the season Rebels' head coach Houston Nutt decided maybe letting the world see what goes on inside the program every week -- even if it is a highly sanitized version, approved by the administration and coaching staff -- wasn't such a good idea.There are high expectations for the Ole Miss program this year. The Rebels are generally considered a top 10 team and expected to contend for the Southeastern Conference title, at the least. If for any reason the season does not go as expected, if Nutt's team underperforms, then not only would there be a very visible record of what goes wrong but fans would undoubtedly point to the presence of TV cameras all over the complex as a major distraction. Auburn has no such expectations. The goal, according to Athletics Director Jay Jacobs, is to "strengthen the brand of Auburn football" which makes it sound more like we'll be seeing an infomercial for "ShamWow"' or "Veg-O-Matic" than an episode of "Cops." The Aug. 24 edition of ArkansasSports360.com included a report in its SEC section about Nutt's plans for the reality show, and this recent change came after the issue had gone to press. I was looking forward to the show for people to see what our Rebels are really all about and to see that were not stuck up snobs from the South. But, I do believe with everything that is going on with Reality TV and all the hype Ole Miss is getting right now that Coach Nutt made an awesome choice. And trust me Ole Miss does not believe were on top of the world and these boys are not big headed. I go to church with Houston Nutt and he is very level headed and every single one of his players are also at Church with him every Sunday.

2. Smart on both ends. Auburn needs the publicity to help rectify that horrible decision to hire chizik and combat the media hype surrounding the tide/dawgs/vols programs & Nutt knows all this hype is gonna get his tail in a ringer. As for the your beloved ole misses do you really believe you can win the SEC title? Come on man clear those bottle caps and look at reality ole miss will be fighting for the 3rd spot in the west again this year and if you didn't have all those cupcake non-conference games you would have trouble getting to a bowl game. SEC West 1. Tide or LSU- If LSU keeps kicking TX. A&M tail in east TX recruiting they will have a long run/ Saben is a born liar but a damn good coach. 3. rebs/razorbacks- I'll give you the edge due to the lack of players at ark that fit petrino's system. 5. tigers- Why fire tubb to bring in this guy? makes no sense. 6. bulldogs- Croom did a good job but hey folks in miss. tend to be delusional.
3. It was a good move on Nutt's part. While the exposure would've been nice I don't think it would be a big deal. I'm not sure that many people really would've watched it. Besides, do you really want someone coming to your school just because they saw you on a TV show? The cameras would definitely be a distraction. Auburn is in a hole right now and doesn't have much to lose by taking a chance like this, so while I don't think it's really a smart move on their part it's not a gamble either.
4. The last thing Ole Miss needs is that show at this time. That puts even MORE pressure on them. For the Ole Miss fans, I really don't want Ole Miss to bomb like #10 Auburn did last year. Ole Miss has almost the same story, only a not as good head coach and a much better staff. I don't really care about Auburn having a show, it doesn't come on until 1 day before our first game. And to you haters who say Chizik is a bad hire and bring up the "5-19" card that has been beaten like Vick's dogs, You are blinded. You think you know what's going on at Auburn. You think our fans are upset and the coaches are depressed and boring and that Auburn has talent equivalent to Houston. Guess what: you people have no CLUE, not even close, about what's going on down here. Some people have seen what IS going on, as FootballOutsiders.com predicts AU to go 10-2 and 2nd in the SEC West. But to you extreme doubters who can say nothing but "5-19", you're going to have to learn the lesson about AU the HARD way. Watch out, SEC, Auburn has ALWAYS done well when they have low expectations, and they always suck with HIGH expectations.
