How to connect stereo headphones to tv with no jack receiver?
I bought a 26" LCD tv and completely forgot to make sure there was a connection for my headphones, silly me thought all modern TV's had one. So I bought a male/female jack convertor and a set of audio leads for the red and white audio component AV in connection, connected them, but this didn't work. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a workaround?

- The red/white jacks on your set supply a fixed volume signal intended for an external amplifier, not headphones or any other type of unpowered speaker. The usual application for those jacks is connecting a theater receiver or surround sound amplifier. If you do have any type of amplifier, like a stereo, that has a headphone jack, you can connect it with the red/white jacks on your TV, then use the headphone jack in the amplifier. That will also give you a volume control for the headphones.
