TV commercials?

For a soc project, I have to write about how TV commercials influence the society. I do not watch TV and I have no idea what the commercials nowadays are about. If anyone could help I appreciate that. I just need to know about one recent TV commercial and what it is about. Thank you

2. This is so simple you can actually do it without the help of others. Find a television and watch for at least thirty minutes. You will definitely get your fill of commercials and many ideas for your paper.
3. Alot of commericals use sex appeal to sell the product. Watch tv for a hour...you'll see tons of examples. Commericals influence the society because it makes me conform and want the same things. It doesn't even have to be the best product but if the commerical says it is, people are more likely to buy it.
4. Example: Dominoes Pizza. The man says to his woman "the pizza is going to take 30 minutes to be delivered. What do you want to do?" (He tries to look sexy.) She looks at him and says" what should we do with the other 28 minutes?" Making fun of other people sells, sex sells, you positively have to have this sells, etc.
5. There are lots of TV commercials for cars, showing how nice they are to drive in wide open spaces set to some popular music hit. They may say something about safety and fuel efficiency. They continue to propagate the idea that a smart car says you've made it in life and/or you'll get a really attractive partner. Reality is that cars are a pain in any urban environment, they are an intrusion on the lives of many and are a false measure of someones success or attractiveness.
6. There are always tons of car commercials, political commercials now, restaurants, credit consolidation, real estate, lawyers, movie previews, household products...the list goes on and on!

8. About three years ago I made the decision to get rid of my television. It was mainly due to the commercials and the fact that i could get a lot more done if i didnt waste time having something else entertain me. Commercials, entice you sexually to buy, make you feel ignorant if you dont buy, or make your life easier if you do buy. Most commercials, if you watch more than twos hours of TV a day, you have seen before. I believe that the biggest influence commercials have on todays society is, to waste your time and get you to spend your hard earned money on stuff that you didnt know you needed until somebody else told you that you did.
