How come people are never sad in TV commercials?

I was watching TV today and I noticed that people are never sad or crying on the commercials. Does anyone know why its like this? I mean, they are always looking happy and are smiling. Is it something to do with a conspiracy like vampies and UFOs? Someone please tell me because I want to know.

  1. I don't think people would want to buy a toy if the kid in the commercial is crying while playing with it...
  2. Hollywood is a delusion.
  3. Ummm its called acting hunny
  4. The guy who says "Nobody ever pays me in gum" seems pretty sad
  5. Um, it depends on the channel you're on, I guess. I mean, I sometimes am watching channel 5 or 13, and I do see that people are sometimes sad. Like a TV commercial about depression or the use of drugs damaging you. Those are some sad people in TV commercials.
  6. Shhhh....... You have figured out the Vampires from Space Conspiracy. Run Hide They will get you, I am taking a risk by typing this. Wait I'll be right back, I hear a noise in the other room.
  7. obviously these companies advertising things are trying to sell products so they definitely don't want to make their potential consumers or anything as such!
  8. most companies do that to sell their product better like beer companies
  9. Sadness doesn't sell things........unless it's a psych med.... Happy smiling people mean that the product will make you happy
  10. well besides those commercials of poor polar bears being stranded on a melting piece of ice
